Group for rural infrastructure development Nepal (GRID Nepal) is a non-political, non-aligned and non-profit making non-governmental organization established at the beginning of 2003. GRID NEPAL works to promote social welfare. We at GRID NEPAL beleive that Nepal will become a developed nation if and only if problems - that of health, infrastructure, engergy, education - present in the rural areas of Nepal - are properly addressed. This beleif has led us to focus on energy and infrastructure problems in the rural areas of Nepal.
Although, we work in partnership with different organizations and people to solve the problem of rural energy and infrastruture, we always give priority to the use of local resources - local appropriate technology and materials and local youth potential to solve the problems present in these areas. In the past, GRID Nepal has worked in other areas like health, sanitation, local awareness programs, informal education. And, we will continue to work in these areas in the future.
